North to Alaska!

A little history first! Here's what we planned and posted in 2007...

We're now in the process of strategic planning for our next adventure. It will be the first vacation in our own AATREC-FM204. Darrin's been building AATREC RVs since 2003, and we've finally almost finished building one for ourselves. You'll be able to follow our travels in "Kalzbagon" on our other website of the same name.

As you can see above, we're debating using the Alaska Marine Highway System to experience the Inside Passage on the way home. We propose sailing from Haines, AK to Prince Rupert, B.C. with overnight stops in Juneau, Petersburg, and Ketchikan. The route is 7110 driving miles, not including the distance on the ferry.
Darrin and his dad were going to make this trip in the previous AATREC-FG camper, but it sold before we got the chance and Darrin's dad then wound up battling and succumbing to cancer in late 2007. This trip will be dedicated to him. The original overland route looked like this...
