Idaho, Oregon, California 2005

This was a great trip for Charlis and Darrin: 3300 miles of camping in the AATREC-FG, some work in Oregon, another potential client in Lassen Volcanic Park, and even more business in the Bay Area. On the way to Oregon, we stopped in Kuna, Idaho at an old friend's place for a couple days, then headed for Portland.
Thanks to a Petsmart in Boise, Charlis can now pack his own food and...um...beer.

After that, it was to the Oregon coast for some magnificent scenery! Here's the lighthouse at Heceta Head, just north of Florence. We camped in Carl G. Washburn State Park across 101, and hiked to the lighthouse in the morning.

No trip is complete without Charlis on the beach!

Down the coast a bit farther and we camped our last night in Oregon at the Umpqua River Lighthouse (State Park Campground). Here's the lighthouse...

From the Oregon coast, the mighty adventurers traveled to Lassen Volcanic Park in California where we met up with a German guy very interested in the AATREC concept. Here's Lassen Peak 90 years after she blew her top...

On the other side of the peak, geothermal activity near the road...

After Lassen, we drove to Redwood City, CA to help a fire department with some surplus water pumps, then to Livermore, CA for some RUF, Inc. truck business. Two days of driving mostly I-80 and we arrived home again safe and sound.
