Travelogues
I absolutely love to travel, though long-time obligations to agriculture and business made getting away a bit difficult for the last two decades. Recent ranch changes support more wanderlust, and I now hope to spend more time seeing new places and old favorites. At my business, RUF, Inc., I built marine-grade extreme condition RVs for extended overland travels.
For a while, I thought I'd enjoy camping and traveling half the year, but honestly, campgrounds and national parks are too populated for me! Why pay money and spend hours on the road just to spend a night next to family with screaming kids on one side and a bunch of drunks with guns on the other! When I'm home, I have silence if I want it, or I can have a beer and shoot at 3 AM if the mood strikes.

There are a number of ways to read about my travels. You can scroll down this page for links to individual trips. You can also visit my mostly travel-specific website called Kalzb'gon, or visit the Kalzb'gon TravelBlog to keep up to date on more recent stuff. The TravelBlog is the best place to stay current, as it's generally the first thing to be updated.
Before I had the blog, I used to keep my travelogue here on these webpages. I decided to keep my movies up that included my ex-wives, Andie and Anna. I spent many hundreds of hours shooting and editing these pages and movies, and regardless of divorce, this stuff is still "art" to me, regardless of the cast..

Before we close this page, we'd like to say that some friends have inspired us over the years, most notably:
www.fullpassport.com - Darrin went to high school with Wes and Jill in the mid-1980s. They have literally seen the world, and made their incredible backpacking journey public here.
www.camion4x4.com - Based in Paris, Marc and Hélène have built a few expedition campers and traveled to some amazing places in Africa and the Middle East!
www.outdoor-production.com - Sonja and Klaus have been traveling for 18 years, through 51 countries. We met them at Lake Powell in 2006 when we noticed their Unimog camper parked among the "normal" RVs.
www.ayabombe.org - Jean-Noël, Stephanie, and their FOUR kids are circumnavigating the globe in a Mercedes Atego 4x4 camper Jean-Noël built for himself. It's an amazing journey, that right now is just beginning in North America.
